2 wheel alignment, front axle tracking
A 2 wheel alignment sets the angle of the front two wheels so they meet the road properly. It helps the car steer straight and the front tyres wear evenly.

What it does
We adjust the toe, the angle the front wheels point in relation to each other when seen from above, on both front wheels. A 2 wheel alignment covers the front only. A 4 wheel alignment covers all four.
- Handling
- The car holds its line and the steering stays centred.
- Even tyre wear
- Tyres wear flat instead of on one edge.
- Fuel economy
- Less drag from wheels pointing the wrong way.
- Safety
- Predictable steering and braking.
Signs you need one
- Uneven tyre wear, especially on the inside or outside edge.
- The car pulling to the left or right on a straight road.
- The steering wheel off-centre when driving straight.
- Vibration through the steering wheel.
- A recent pothole or kerb strike.
Do I need a 2 or 4 wheel alignment?
A 2 wheel (front end) alignment covers the front wheels. A 4 wheel alignment is usually needed for all-wheel-drive cars and those with independent rear suspension. Call us with the make and model and we will tell you.
What knocks a car out of alignment?
A sudden jolt such as a pothole, kerb or collision, worn suspension parts, or changing the ride height without matching suspension changes.
